Everyone has their own tricks. I removed the air filter boxes for more room but did not completely dismantle the battery box. On the drivers side I was able to pull each individual coil one at a time without disconnecting them from the wiring loom. On the passenger side the loom is tighter so I had to unclip each coil before removing. The clips are fragile so take your time. Once the clips were removed it is much easier to remove each coil. The loom needed to be moved in order to reach the hex bolt that secures each coil. I found the toughest plug was the passenger side against the the firewall. The drivers side firewall was next. The others were much easier by comparison. It took me about 2 hours but with time I could probably chop that in half. It could take the first timer 4 hours and there is no shame in that.
make sure your plugs are gapped before going in!
