Yes but did you check the level after hearing the noises?
What type of oil did you use. Ticking seems like it could be lifters or valves or oil starvation. That is why I'd start with the oil level. Eliminate the obvious then move forward ....
I'm thinking this is not a bad thing. It would suck if you left your keys in the car, then found out the car was locked with your keys in it.
Unless the LR4 has a proximity sensor type key setup (Like Volvo) where you just get close to the car with the key and it unlocks.
I got my LR3 floor mats off e-bay as well. I did not get the floor mats for the 3rd row seats since they will likely never get used. I also found the rear storage rubber mat to match the rest from the same guy. I got the storage mat that has Land Rover on it not the off brand they sell at...
If you go to Napa or Orieleys you can get better pricing that Atlantic British. AB seems to be the Land Rover Newb shop since they pop up near the top of a Google search (they got me as well), they have a lot of stuff but it's mostly overpriced and they don't have everything.
For instance ABS...
Same here in WA State. I was able to buy my 06 LR3 SE for 16k @ 90,000 miles from the local Jag/LR dealership.
Yeah I too was worried about financing a vehicle with that many miles but so far so good!
Also I was still paying on my 06 Malibu Maxx SS, when the dust settled I ended up only paying...
I had to remove the key all together. Please try it out the next time if you have the patience!
Also were you listening to the stereo loudly? in my case I was, I suspect (in my case) a breaker needed to reset in the amp (? speculative reason) but who knows.
I work with electronics, in my...
Did you try turning the steroe off, then the car off then wait for the LCD display to go off completely before turning the car on, then the stereo on again? (when you got home that is)
LOL, I just had this same issue on Saturday.
Here's how it started.
I was rocking out to "Satchel" stopped at work to grab my headphones from my desk. I parked the car and with the stereo on I just turned the car off and pulled the keys out (just like any other day) when I turned the car back...
thanks for the call back Mike. I was able to open the bleeder nut on the passenger side of the radiator in my 1994 D1 with 3.9 then opened the expansion tank then added coolant as you described.
Bubbles came out. I filled the tank to the neck, closed up the system then ran the vehicle till it...
Mike, please describe, or link to instructions on bleeding the Coling system. I have "Gurgling" coming from behind my dash, I'm pretty sure I need to bleed the cooling system. My coolant level is not low either.
I recently installed a K&N air filter on my 2006 LR3. I didn't really notice any performance or mileage gains/losses. I too prefer the K&N filters but the "resident experts" seem to think the oil from the K&N filters can/will ruin the MAF sensor.
You'd probably be better off just leaving the...
I've never had an issue with a K&N air filter on any MAF equipped vehicles I've owned.
I'm running one on my D1 and D3. The D1 came with it from the PO, I put the one into my D3. It did not improve mileage or noticeable throttle response improvement, so the issue as far as I am concerned is...
