Another Suspension Fault - with pattern
For fault reading, it is not VIN-locked. Just the other features. I used mine to read codes on the SO's Evoque. What is the exact message that displays? Is the amber suspension light (the one with the arrows around the icon of the truck) illuminated? Your best course of action is to read the faults that are stored with something like an IID Tool, they will give you a much better idea of which components...- djkronik57

Can smell gas through vents on startup
I had this happen to me. Take off your plastic engine cover and you'll probably see and smell gas. The o rings for the fuel pipe had failed and gas was dripping onto the top of the engine, specifically the rear driver's side where it connects to the fuel rail. Not a safe situation! AC compressor noise
The whining due to low refrigerant stops soon after you press the ECON button, shutting off the A/C. The A/C runs with the heat on as well to dry the air and defog, so the real test is to use the ECON button and see if it goes away. If it doesn't, then it is likely something else.- djkronik57

AC compressor noise
I have the same thing. From the research that I have done, the noise is due to low refrigerant, not the compressor itself. The rear AC lines often corrode and leak. Is the Days to Service indicator reliable?
Somehow my days/miles countdown on my 2008 disappeared (it no longer shows up when starting up) after a service and the reset procedure online doesn't seem to work at all. Does it show up consistently or only if you go over the service interval? Mine was negative when I bought the truck.- djkronik57
