    Deah Wobble

death wobble Had the very same problem after the same fix. It was my front shocks. Simple and cheap to fix. Try it first.

    Subwoofer

If you are talking about the subs in the rear door panel, I am about to make a new rear door panel out of aluminum and will not be reusing the speakers. If they appear to be in good shape when I take them out on Monday I will send you a pm. Pay for the shipping and they are yours.

    Squeaky Noise

Is it under normal acceleration or hard acceleration? Does it not do it if you are turning right or left from a stop? When was last time you greased fittings on u-joints?

    Hydraulic Winch

Need advice. I have the opportunity to pick up a Mile Marker hydraulic winch (new) for my Disco 1. I don't know that much about these types of winches. I know that I can have the hoses made. Is anyone using this type of winch on their LR? Would appreciate any feedback. The winch is a 12k...

    ******Help No Fuel Pressure*******

Thanks Joey! Where exactly is that relay? I checked the fuse under the hood but I am not familiar with the relay. If that relay was not working would it still be possible to have power at the harness on the tank? Many thanks for your help.

    ******Help No Fuel Pressure*******

I installed a new fuel pump on my D1 today. Initial installation was unremarkable. I drove to the store to get differential lube to change my front pinion seal. After changing the seal my D1 would not start, no fuel pressure. I turn the key and it sounds like the pump is running, however...

    Rear Bumper Build

Take a look at the rear bumper made by hicountryoffroad.com. They have some video links of the bumber in action taking some awesome abuse.

    Rear Bumper Build

Before going through all of that I would look at the rear bumper designed by Rovertym. It is very thin and virtually indestructable. I enjoy doing projects myself as much as anyone but I know when I don't have the gray matter to do it right. The guy at Rovertym is a retired engineer from what...

    Disco II Wheels - $200.00

I have a set of 16" Disco II (2000) wheels. I bought the wheels/tires together but I don't need the wheels because I have a D1. I am selling the wheels. I don't have lug nuts or center caps. The wheels are in good shape. They have some scratches and some areas where it looks as though the...

    Pinion Seal

Found it. Wow, that was like a treasure hunt. It is on the long tube on both axles. It is a little hard to read, or maybe I am getting old. Anyway, I wasn't looking for little dots that formed numbers, I thought it would be a small set of "stamped" numbers. I guess even the little things...

    Pinion Seal

I need to replace the pinion seal in my front diff. However, for a '95 Disco 1 there are two possibilities according to Rovers North and Atlantic British. They said that it depends on the axel number. Rovers North said that I could find the axel number on the top of the housing next to the...

    Keyless entry

Wow........I will have to print that out and have that in hand. I won't be able to chew gum and do all of that at the same time. Many thanks.

    Keyless entry

I have inquired of this before but please excuse my re-visit to this question. I called the dealer today about an extra keyless entry fob that I found inside my D1 when I purchased it. The code on the inside (white sticker) is different than the one that actually works with the vehicle. He...

    small oil leak

One thing I have found out about LR's, if they are not leaking it means that they are out of oil. I would check the oil cooler lines and your front main seal. Both are not hard fixes or expensive. Don't bother buying a new pan gasket, just use RTV. I got that recommendation from a dealer...

    Replacing the Rotoflex

I am wanting to replace the rear drive shaft with a u-joint type unit. Anyone know of kits that are out there or is it just better to buy the replacement driveshafts that have the u-joints. My rotoflex is showing signs of wear and I know that it is just a matter of time before it goes.

Truly "Happy" Disco owners- let me know if you exist!

I have a Disco I and absolutely love it. Could I buy a different four wheel drive vehicle? Sure, but what fun would that be. LR's are the best off road vehicles made in my opinion. I have had to do some work to my Disco, but the previous owner took very good care of it. However, I love to...

    Death Rattle?

Well, I have to say that I overlooked the obvious in this one. It was the front shocks. I guess I couldn't see the forest for all of the trees in my way. Once I realized what it was I have to say that I was a little embarassed. Now all is well. Thanks Chongo and Joey.

    Death Rattle?

Gonna take it to a local shop........"British 4X4" here in Jacksonville, FL. Great guys and I know that they can find it. All other bushings seem to be in good order so it may be those swivel pins. Stay tuned.

    Death Rattle?

Just had tires balanced and they checked out. Pan hard rod bushings just replaced....I will check the radius arm bushings. Do they have to be pressed?
  24. floridarover

    Death Rattle?

Have not checked or replaced those. However, you will have to point me in the right direction on where it is at and how to check. Also, do those have to be pressed in like the pan hard rod?

    Death Rattle?

Already done that as well. And I did not have any play. I even used a long bar to put more pressure than I could do by hand. But this is what I love about the LR family...............a total stranger trying diligently to help. You are appreciated.
