02 discovery distributer

Hi everyone I'm new to this site as I just bought my used 02 Land rover discovery. Last night my buddy and I were changing out my spark plug wires and I think we might of screwed up the timing layout from the distributer cap the discovery now sounds like it is missing. I have been unable to get to a store to buy a manual does anyone one have any answers for the layout maybe a link to a picture or other problems that it might be.

02 discovery series II

If this makes a difference in my comment above my discovery is a series II with 50,000 miles on it. One other quick question is there anyway to check the service engine lite without a de-coder.

you will need an OBDII scanner to read the service engine codes...

As far as the firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Joey your help was very much appericated as from your link to the picture showed us that we crossed # 3 over # 5. The discovery now runs much smoother.
