Not really... but that is JMHO... My 92 roadmaster has never seen the inside of a dealership since I bought it in 2000 and that was over 100k miles ago.

Explosives in air bag can degrade causing airbags not to inflate upon collision. No check eliminates companies liability when airbag doesn't open. So if you don't plan on having a collision, I wouldn't worry about it.

Not to be a pain on this one, but air bags do no always deploy when the should... case in point a brand new 2004 RR rear ended a car are 40 mph... car was stopped. Crushed the bumper into the engine bay, and crushed both front fenders.

Airbag did not deploy... when I asked the repair guy (paint and body shop used by LR, MB, Jag, BMW. He told me that 75% of the time, the air bags do not deploy when they should...

Wear a seat belt and don't worry about it.
