Hey guys,
I'm a newbie to the site and to rovers.
I bought my first RR in january knowing it needed the suspension fixed so right off the bat i put out 2k for the air to coil suspension.
now i'm having some transmission problems.
when the car is cold it shifts a little slow and hard but when its warm it shifts good in every gear except 3rd to 4th. before it changes from 3rd to 4th gear it jumps up in rpm and revs. also i don't know if this is normal but the rpm is at about 2800 when im going 70mph.
If anyone could give me a little info that would be awesome.
thanks for everyone's time.

Welcome to the forum. How many miles and have you changed the transmission fluid? Check for temp issues? some times the radiator can be clogged causing this issue.

The car has 112k miles on it, I just had the trans fluids flushed and changed. The car hasn't overhearted once since I got it. I doubt this has anything to do with it but the srs light is on and when the car is turned on it says airbag fault. Also when the car is running and I put my weight off the seat the check engine light comes on. Then when I sit back down it goes off.

You have an odd electrical issue if the CEL comes on from moving in the seat.

As far as the SRS nothing to do with the transmission this is an airbag issue (it got some odd voltage causing it to go into error mode). SRS is only fixable by the dealer or someone with the Testbook (LR specific computer).

Did the trans issue start before or after the flush?

the problem started before the flush. I got it flushed about 3 weeks ago thinking it would hopefully fix it. it got better the first 2 days then it hasn't since.
I was just looking online and found this guy who has the same problem and he says its an auto gearbox. I have no clue what that is but could that sound right to you or is it just the dealer trying to scam him for money.

the gear box is the transmission, I would have it checked to make sure it isn't something else. Sometime in the RR it can be a battery that is starting to go dead will cause transmission issues as well. But if a flush helped the odds are it is a bad transmission.

In the winter time when it got cold it would crank but wouldn't turn over, I don't think its the battery but i wouldn't know. and sometimes when its warm out and it drops in temp overnight more than it usually does it will crank but wont turn over then i'll try it in the middle of the day when it gets warmer and it works fine. could that be the battery and then thats also causing the transmission. but I havnet had this problem in a month or 2. its been very warm here

Crank and not start are normally the Crank Position Switch issues.... transmission is another animal.
