hey i just got my first Disco II and i already have lots of problems. its running very rich way too rich. the O2 sensors are going off the scale and stinks out the tailpipe CEL is on. but when i unpluged the MAF it started running lean:confused:. dealer replaced both heads 10K miles ago. i will post obd codes 2morrow but any ideas for now?

by the way the other problems are:

1 whole car shakes badly when braking it even sounds really bad
2 engine feels very hot cant even touch the hood
3 inside dome lights dont work any of the 3 no power on any wires
4 every time i go over bumps feels like the tires have too much air pressure but i checked them 28psi FT 46psi Rear probably the cheap tires
5 one of the rear jump seats wont open up to seatdown

thats all i remember for now and i just got for 3 days:hmpf:

WOW, rich could be a bad MAF sensor, or a temp sensor... codes would help

1 = Rotors are bad
2 = Very normal, engine bay is always hot
3 = could be a bad bulb?
4 = 46 in the rear that is a lot. I run 40 all the way around, but depends on tires.
5 = sounds like a stuck cable, try spraying with breakfree or a good lube.

thank you for the ideas but i didnt get around of doing everything but i did the important ones.

checked codes and found sensors B1-S1 and B2-S1 were bad (replaced) but it was still running bad and stincky so u used a smoke tester machine thingy and found a plastic fitting for the pcv hose was cracked and the hose loose. now it runs perfect!!!

and for the otherones:

1 front rotors were very bad with huge lips possibly never been replaced and rear were badly rusted chuncks of rust were falling off so i replaced all brakes. now brekes good and smooth

2 im planing on replacing the thermostat just cuz by the lloks of the rotors this car was sitting for a while

3 checked all bulbs and they are OK used a test light and none of the sockets have power and all fuses ok i dont know what it could be?

4 owner's manual says to put 46 on rear but ill try 40

5 didnt get around to do anything yet

The only way your manual says 46 is if you are loaded to max weight....
