Hi everyone,
Is there a way to fold the side mirrors aside from pressing the L and R buttons simultaneously (which I've tried and doesn't work) ?
Thanks so much,

I have a 2010 Lux and I don't have auto folding mirrors...

I believe that you can double check that on topix by entering your vin number. I was lucky enough to get the window sticker with the manual so I know exactly what options I have and don't have.

If you do have auto fold mirrors, they might be disabled. Have you pressed the menu button on your steering wheel and gone through the different sub menus?

Good luck

Thank you for coming to my rescue once again AxelR !!! :)
I looked and didn't see that option in the menu. I will look again...maybe they did disable it.
Have a great day !

NASdiesel thanks for the response. Unfortunately that doesn't work either. That is the least of my problems right now....my car was dead this morning, charged the battery, died again while I was at work. Now the dashboard display is dead. My right taillight has a crack and there is condensation in it. Could that be causing issues with the battery ?

Hi

That's the way to go.
I had my battery changed pretty fast under warranty. They are not known for their reliability or performance.
I doubt the crack in your tail light caused this.
As far as the instrument cluster (dashboard display) they also had to replace it...
You might want to have the dealer or some specialist check all of this.
I hope that you still have warranty coverage.

Hi Axel,
I think I do :) I got it from an auto dealership in PA (not a LR dealership) and I'm in SC....they drove the car down. It has 62K miles on it, and the piece of paper they gave me says limited warranty upto 100K miles on it but I didn't see anything electrical or battery listed under covered stuff...not sure what that means. So if I took it to a local LR dealership, they would fix whats under warranty yes ?
Thank you again :)

I'm not sure. They should.
At the very least they will tell you if the battery is covered or not...
If it's not you may as well go buy one and swap it yourself, probably cheaper that way.

If it is the certified Land Rover warranty then you're all set and they'll take care of it for you for free.

Sorry I can not be of more help as far as what your warranty covers.

If it's not listed under covered stuff on the warranty contract, it's a pretty safe bet to assume it is not covered... Definitely check with the dealer. But it's no big deal, a good battery for these cars will cost you less than a couple hundred bucks, which may be close to the deductible on your limited warranty anyway. You can install it yourself, and if you are still running on the original battery in your 2011 with 60k+ miles you are already living on borrowed time, even if that doesn't turn out to be the problem (though it sounds like it might be.) Sears currently has its DieHard Advanced Gold (AGM,) in group size 49 on sale for less than $150. That would be an upgrade over whatever battery a dealer may install.

More than likely that warranty is worth more or less the paper it's printed on. Sounds like an aftermarket, or even dealer-backed inclusionary warranty meaning it will list a couple dozen specific things it will cover and everything else is on your dime. Having said that my 2011 which is still under factory warranty has been bulletproof. Mine is a lux and does have folding mirrors. They fold less than any car I've owned, maybe saves you 1 inch on either side. So if you'rs doesn't have it, don't feel too bad.
