I found other forums with the same vibration at highway speeds issue that pointed to the epb module. What you described is exactly how mine behaved. You may be able to see wear on the parking brake shoe/pads or smell it after if it occurs again. The epb module is expensive and not easy to install. I replaced mine but was unable to program it correctly. If I were to do it again I would just disable the epb. I never use it anyways.
Interesting. I did notice something sketchy about the rear parking brake when i did the rear rotors. One of the springs was broken and I replaced it btu the entire parking brake assembly still seemed to move around. I ended up leaving that side wound up, effectively mechanically disabling the EPB. I neve ruse the EPB, but it does need to "work" to pass inspection. Last year it passed with only the left side working. I've never had an error pop up.

I will say that since the last event I have not had that vibration come up even at higher speeds.
