2016 LR4 Under body blowoff or "air burst" sound, is this a dead compressor sound?

Ive seen a lot of threads on this and other forums about the air compressor dying, but i've never found one related with an audio file that is similar to mine.
I've heard all the sounds of the compressor whining, or the air bags or tank leaking, but i've not heard one before like what I've got.

It sounds like a pressure release valve, but there's no sound from the compressor even running, so I don't know how I'd be tripping a pressure release.

On my Project Rover, when I star the car up, a few seconds after there's a sort of small air burst sound coming from under the body, and then "Suspension Fault" shows up in the cluster. I don't get any codes for the suspension, and I would have thought if the compressor was causing a code to go that there'd be an error of some kind.
The car is sitting on the bump stops right now because it's been out of service for a while.

Anyway, i figure those with more experience might be able to recognize this sound.

What kind of code reader are you using? The air suspension system isn't too complicated on these. Air goes from the compressor to a valve block that directs it into the reservoir, then front/rear. The front and rear have valve blocks as well. These blocks have solenoids that get gummed up with the silica gel that is used to keep the system dry.

If you end up finding a faulty valve block, don't buy an aftermarket replacement. Buy an OE new part and thank yourself later.

As for your noise, I've never heard that so I can't really help. The system will release air when it lowers or vents off pressure when the compressors shutting off, but it doesn't sound like your car.

I seldom hear hiss and when I hear it bleed off air standing outside its mostly a second or two, not like a leaking air brake line on a truck. You'll burn out the compressor if you let it leak. Its not designed to handle that duty cycle long-term.

Doesn't sound significant enough to be a concern. I thought your video was going to show a long blast of air like what happens on my LR4 when I have the tailgate open for a 30+ seconds. EAS lets out some air to lower the rear for easier loading/unloading. It is an intuitive system.

The suspension fault on your dash on your project rover is likely a weak/failing air compressor. Had this same fault and it cleared after I replaced the compressor. If it's sitting on bump stops you probably have a dry rotted air strut or two. The fronts always go first. Get those replaced before the compressor or your new compressor will be stressed and prematurely age compensating for the leaks.
