Hi, I just discovered the forum while we're trying to choose our new Landy. We currently own a 2005 Disco 3 V8 SE. Now we have to choose between the 2013 Disco 4 TD V6 SE (8 speed gearbox) or the 2013 Disco 4 TD V6 HSE (6-speed gearbox). Both new. Can get the 6-speed HSE for R20,000 less than the 8-speed SE. South Africa doesn't have the strict laws on Co2 emmitions that you have in other countries. We really like the look of the newer "gearless" car, but keeping the gearleaver in the middle in exchange for the higher specced HSE makes it a difficult choice. Does anyone have any thoughts on the pros and cons of going either way?
