My Disco has been running warm after about 1/2 hour of city driving. If I turn the heat up to high and rev the engine to over 1500 RPM the temp will come down to normal range. The a/c condenser fans are working. Is this a thermostat problem, water pump, or fan clutch? Any thoughts?

Try clicking on the "search" tab for overheat and read away (there's 96 threads)

Could be fan clutch, tstat, pump, clogged rad(inside or out), bad headgaskets, air in system, etc.

luck,greg

Thanks Greg. I changed the t-stat but didn;t cure the problem. Water pump is on order. I'm not loosing coolant so I am pretty optimistic.
