Fuel Pump Problem 98 Disco V8i

By the way, got the pump from Lester at Atlantic British. $387.00 + shipping for 35 bones. A far cry from the dealer for $725 not including installation....I literally spit out my coffee when I heard that. &^%&^$ rip offs.

Thanks and later

Replaced mine with one from Atlantic British last winter as a precaution.

Hey Joey;

Here's a related issue for you: what about fuel-pump or feed being sensitive to air-temp and moisture? Let me explain: when it gets cool out (not freezing but cool) and damp my engine feels like somebody tied the proverbial piano to its behind; yet, when it gets cooler still with even fog or mist in the air - it comes alive (i.e., piano is ditched and power is great).
It definitely feels like a fuel/air issue as I recall in my old Chyslers: i.e., they had an 'icing' issue in their carburators at a certain moist temp.. Now, this is not like that 'icing' - as there is no rich black smoke but the lack of power is similar. Could it even be the KLN air filter? Could this even be a related positive crankcase ventilation issue (which is really just an oil seperator coming out of the valve cover and vacumed through the throttle body area)?

Interesting issue hey?

Change or clean the air filter and clean the MAF. Could be a VSS issue, not sure.
