seafoam may help, but you don't have a fuel filter in a D2.

Search on the stepper motor here and I remember a post a year or more back that has pictures.

I cleaned the stepper motor and the MAF, as well as changed the plugs to champion plugs as recommend...the car is running better, acceleration is much improved. Still get 12.5 mpg as fuel consumption...any thing that I can do to improve this?

This is what I recommend for fuel economy.... I have a 97 Disco I drive in the winter and off road. I could care less what it get for fuel economy as long as I get where I am going and get home.

I have an 03 Jaguar XJ8 that averages around 20mpg that I use as a daily driver.

If I want real fuel economy, I would buy a 4cyl car that gets 30 - 40 MPG and it would pay for itself in gas alone, but I doubt it would be as fun to drive.

I agree...thanks so much for all the advice, my next step is to figure away around the ABS (3 Amigos) and the red brake light indicator.

D2, 3 amigos have been talked about alot on here, this requires an ABS code reader to find this issue... in my signature I have a link to a guy that does EAS stuff, he also sells a ABS code checker (I have never used it, nor do I know the guy. It just looks like it should do the job).

I will make a call tomorrow on the Red brake light indicator, but it could also be the parking brake is pulled up one or two clicks.
