ACE filter

Hi all - thought i would start this as a new thread... I am trying to find a new filter for the ACE system, and so far have only been able to find it at British Pacific for ~$65.... Rovers North and Atlantic British don't list it as far as I can tell.


What are some good sources you folks use for these kinds of things?

That is one of those parts that you will probably noy find other then at the dealer or British Pacific. That is one of those parts you better plan on biting the bullet on.

one of those "better safe than sorry" things? yes, will let you know how it goes. I am in the process of collecting all sorts of odds and ends, and one day when it cools off a bit here in TX, planning on a "maintenance" day. I am sure the beast will thank me for it..

Went to ask a service guy at the Land Rover of Fort Worth about the ACE filter and he looked at me like I was a Dumb.... He said there is not a filter for the ACE system? What do you guys think about that?

You might want to set up a wager with him, and make him look foolish. The ACE filter is the most expensive filter on a Rover at arounf $65 to $75 depending on what part man you talk to.
Go for it, make him look foolish.

Yeah, there's a filter alright... expensive, and about the size of a D-cell battery... easier to replace than a spark plug.... lemme know if you need a part number, and in the tech section read the little paragraph I wrote up on it after changing the filter and fluid out one day.
