Advise for potential RR owner

Hello to all -

Planning to purchase in the near future. I have always loved Range Rover. I have been researching the RR-HSE 2003 - 2006 models. Would appreciate any adivse and/or likely problems that your experience might afford. I own a 98 BMW 540i, and have been seriously burned with maintenanace/repair issues...feeling a little gun shy!

Basically my advise is to read the: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43 section, as well as stopping by http://www.rangerover.net and reading over there as well. RR are like any other vehicle, you have good ones and bad ones. When you keep in mind that they are hand built British vehicles, you will understand that things can and may go wrong. My two favorite vehicles are Land Rovers and Lotus... I must be a Massacists or something. Both are hand built British cars that will have there own personality, each and every vehicle will feel different and drive different. My recommendation is to read a lot and test drive 3 or 4 before making a choice.
