So, 2007 LR3 SE was scheduled for its 52.5K service (actually only has 35k miles on it but has been serviced based upon time not mileage). I arrived promptly @ 9:00 am to drop off the LR3 with an extensive list of "things to do" because this will be my last warranty service. I talked with the service manager who informs me that the list was too extensive to deal with on a Saturday so I would have to leave the LR with them. I say "no problem" and called my wife to ask her to swing by and pick me up because having not purchased the LR @ this dealer, I was not entitled to a loaner. Spent the next few minutes walking around the lot and checking out the new LRs.
Not sure if that was a mistake...
Trade in on the LR3 was $24,750 (see profile pick) and the purchase price on the 2011 LR4 HSE service loaner with 3k miles on it was $47k... Listed for just shy of $55k new.
I feel good about the deal but honestly did not do much pricing homework before heading over and was working off my blackberry and its limited browsing abilities to conduct my research.
I will say that the LR4 is an entirely different vehicle.
