anyone use a generic spliced O2 sensor

i am thinking of now replacing all the sensors in the truck (even though i read on the RAVE disk that the two after the cats are not used in mixing the air/fuel), so, instead of giving my left kidney and second born son to land rover for the sensors i was wondering about the generic ones that you just splice with the harness...

do they work ok?

Those thing are expensive, told you.
You might want to go to the DiscWeb site, there have been a number of posting regarding this and I believe the technical area will help you.

O2 sensor source

Auto Parts Unlimited on Magnolia in North Hollywood CA got me a set of Wagner direct replacement O2 sensors for $126.00. No splicing needed. They seem to be fine.

I can get you a part # if you'd like to try your own Parts supplier. APU is a carquest agent.

I don't know where about's you live but you can buy NTK sensors from Wally"s (Walmart)!!, at least you can up here in Canada.

i live in canada too, in thunder bay, ontario. i just ordered a set of them from notheast british parts for $104USD each, the ones that are just plug and go. I guess mine had advanced evap, so i needed a different harness?? i should have them next week, so then with the new o2 sensors, new bosch platinum plus fours, and magnecor 8mm wires i should notice a difference in the truck?
