Well, have had my LR3 SE for 3 weeks now and it has been in the shop 10 days. I need help, both mentally and LandRoverly... Beside the usual seat issue (floating, wiggle in the drivers seat), I am experiencing a constant wobble while driving. Here are the steps that the dealer took (pretty respected dealer, but at this point just not listening).

1. Trip 1 - Mr Senior, we aired down the tires, they were all at 51 PSI and it seems in final prep they did not air them down for you, problem should be fixed.

NOT FIXED

2. Trip 2 - Mr Senior, we noticed some of the tires were unbalanced, we have corrected, they are now within speck.

NOT FIXED

3. Trip 3 - Mr Senior, we alligned the front end and the car is all set.

NOT FIXED (next one is the fun one).

4. Trip 4 - 7 days in the shop - Mr Senior the car seems to have a problem with the emergency brake modular, and some brake dust is showing on the area where the e-brake engages with the rear wheels, this may be what is causing the wobbling. Modular and lines replaced.

NOT FIXED

My problem now is that they are stating they can not "feel" the wobble, and never really could. Now I am a driver of trucks, and I understand a "truck ride" vs a "car ride" and am not expecting a Land Rover to drive as smooth as most. But a constant wobble is a wobble.

They are stating that there is nothing else they can do.

Some things to note are that the wobble is not felt in the steering wheel, it is almost like it is rear end only. It increases with a mph increase, and it is EXTREMELY annoying.

My thoughts, if all else is fine, is that it is a flat spot on one or all of the tires. It is from a large dealership, and could have sat for at least 9 months before I bought it.

Any thoughts?

I had a wobble and a rumble that was caused by the POS Goodyear tires (19"). Sounds like yours is another animal, though.

may be the same thing though, just not sure,, was your wobble a constant? I am thinking of airing down to sand crawling levels and drive on the pavement to see what happens, then maybe airing up again. I think the dealer messing with my E-Brake was BS... They propably know it is the tires but do not want to go in halves or replace, so they are doing everything else in order to shut me up.

Actually, your LR3 should drive smoother than most cars. Drive a loaner or another LR3 from the dealers lot, with them in it. Assuming no wobble, then both of you jump in your car, and say, ***?

Also, at this stage, you should be asking for the service manager, not just the service writer.

Ok folks, thanks for the replies and good advice. Will let everyone know how I make out. It just bugs the crap out of me that these guys look you straight in the eye and say "what wobble"... Now my wife saying that to me is a different story !!!

BTW, aired down and still wobbled, but did manage to get a few miles in of lovely Cape Cod beach sand before I came home. (15 psi, sand mode, and DSC off did well, better than my grand cherokee, especially on inclines).

Also, consider using another dealer if there is one in the vicinity. Good luck!

I doubt its the flat spot on the tires. Most of the time, the tire will recover its normal shape after some driving. I would also try another dealer.
