I waited six months for a Range Rover Autobiography to arrive. After a couple hundred miles the engine light went on. After a trip to the dealer, Land Rover wanted to replace my engine after 1600 miles. I am done with this vehicle. Has anyone else had similar problems with their Range Rover? I do not expect a straight answer from this company.

Welcome to the forum... so what your saying is you waiting to buy a vehicle and because it has issues and the company wants to fix it your upset... wow... that is sad.

Just think you could have spend a million on a new Enzo and had an engine failure after 1600 miles and guess what you would have been told sorry... it is out of warranty.

Joey your correlation makes no sense. If I wanted an Enzo I would have purchased one. I guess my point is that after spending $500m for Rovers for family over the last few years I have had enough with their lack of reliability. The company has poor parts distribution, terrible communication with dealers and is not customer oriented. I do not find it unfair to expect a vehicle that costs $115m to function for a couple weeks. It also took six months to arrive. I am ok with that except that I was told it would be two months. I simply wanted to know if some one else has had engine troubles not to be judged by someone who calls himself joey( a name a ten year old would use)!

Fair enough... wish you would have stated that more clearly in your post. Sadly 90% of the people who join this forum post 1 or 2 posts about issues and then are never heard from again... I have been the moderator on here for close to the 10 years you state, but prefer the name JOEY as that is what I have been called since before I could speak.

As far as your point. Yes I agree, LR should take better care of there customers. Give TATA a couple of years to straight things out as they have only just bought LR and Jag from Ford. I will admit Ford help a lot, but not enough. Customer Service should come first, but sadly most company's feel it is the money should come first.

Sorry for my reference to your post. I took it that you were complaining that the engine had issues and they were trying to fix them. As far as engine issues out of the box. I personally have not heard major issues out of the Jag engine as it has been the most reliable of any of the engines that LR has installed.

I'm sorry to get personal as well. This was my second range rover purchase for me to drive. The first vehicle was in the shop nonstop. Friends laughed at me when I purchased another. I was hoping for a better experience the next time around. Unfortunately this vehicle is in even worse shape. I would never keep any of my customers if I treated them like land rover has up to this point. Did not mean to offend. I just want to know if there are any other similar situations.
