Bluetooth Phones?

My Treo 650 works fine on Bluetooth in my Land Rover.... Defender. Okay, I put in my own Parrot 3200 carkit.

Storing numbers

I tried to store phone numbers in the RR memory by using phone button on steering wheel and it would ask me the name, the number and would confirm both, then when I would answer yes to continuing with the process, it would say this has been cancelled. Does anyone know if there is a way to trick the system in to accepting numbers into the RR's memory this way when you're using a non-approved phone? Or is there a firmware/software upgrade that allows us to use the memory with non-approved phones?
