2002 Land Rover Freelander Repair Process for Blown Head GAsket

Good EVening my 2002 Land Rover Freelander started mixing oil in the coolant deposit, well 2 weeks ago it over heated and now it is at the shop, I KNOW I KNOW what your thinking BLOWN HEAD GADKET RIGHT? Well yes that the PRoblem. Well Besides the HEad GAsket being blown my Mecanic has instructed to purchase the following:

1.VICTOR REINZ HEAD GASKET SET 2.TIMING BELT TENSIONER ROLLER 3.Timing Belt Idler Roller 4. (6) Spark PlugS PREFERABLY NGK 5. Dayco 95326 FRONT Timing Belt 6. (2) REAR TIMING ENGINE BELTS 6. (5) QTS OF 5W-50 SYNTHETIC OIL cHECK HANDBOOK 7. OIL FILTER 8. OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

Well I have ordered all this stuff online at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Land-Rover-Freelander-2-5-V6-2002-2004-Head-Gasket-Set-/370384007562 ,,,, Any ways Daniel from New PArts took my order and beat all the competitor prices I highly recommend New PArts for all your Land Rover purchases. Can someone give me instructions on how to post pics of my truck, damaged parts, purchased parts , and finally when my LR is ready take pictures to post as well,,,,

Anyhow Ill keeps you guys posted,
o yea P.S LAND ROVER QUOTED me 1600 dlls for Just parts, I bought all the parts for my LR for under $500 dlls at New PArts

Not that I am aware of... If I recall Correctly the only way to import a vehicle into Mexico is for it to have Zero miles and be brand new. I.e. first owner from a dealership, but they may have a loop hole for older vehicles, I just am not sure on that.

THanks Joey,, I called a Local place here looks Now I can but its going to cost me about 1100 bucks, if I wait until April 2011 then there will be a 25% discount, but only in Cd.Juarez. Thanks anyways,,, hey do you know where I can Locate The coolant temperature sensor on my 2002 LANDROVER FREELANDER??

Hi Salas254, I´m stay in Mexico too, maybe you can't found a dealer for Land Rover in Cd. Juarez, but you can found a great dealer in Guadalajara on a internet. It's name is Odd Mexico (you can found a great remplacements for LR). My email is [email protected], let me show some electronic directions for Land Rover in Mexico.
