can Service Reminder be turned off?

I just stopped by at Land Rover dealer and asked if they can turn off service reminder and they said they can only reset it. Is it true? Can it not be turned off? - Brian

It should still be possible... since mine has been off for years now.

I called them again, now with knowledge and they said "tech manual says it can be done but sometimes it doesn't work. We will certainly try it but not guaranteed"

Follow-up: At the end of the service, they said it can NOT be turned off.
