Since I became a member of this club, I feel much better because I was in the opinion that only my Disco has his defects. Recently I got stock in the middle of nowhere with my fuelpump busted. As towing out was no option, we had to replace it in soaring temperatures at the place of breakdown. The hazard lights flashing seems to be a Disco alarm which go's on if you drive on bumpy conditions, in this case you have to stop, switch of the ignition and start again. It is a pain if you drive off road as the lights come on all the time.

I only drive in sand so I can not help you out on water issues but it is good for me to know in case it starts raining in the UAE.
