My 2000 Disco With 67000miles has been giving my nothing but headaches since I got it seized from my ex husband's girlfriend last month. It started stalling out on me one cold day in New York. I was told by a moran that worked at a nearby A.Z that it was the battery that was bad ok. So I buy a new one problem not solved disco still stalling out I'm was finally able to tow it to my LR Dealer. He charges me 210 for a diagnostic test to tell me that I need a IDLE SPEED CONTROL so I brought there line of crap and I paid 250. for the part and another 100 to install so far I got ***** for 580. After leaving the Dealership I thought good now I can drive worry free for awhile NOTT! a week later It dies on me again LR Dealer say's it's not the same problem so there not covering it under the warrenty for the part. They tell me It's a grounding problem I really wanted to jus set this truck on fire and collect. Until i realized it was still in my X's husband's name. But anyway wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I left the car in my driveway in park and started it after about 4 min it turned off. I turned it back on and after another 3 min it turned off again. So now it's just setting in my driveway collecting dust. until I can figure out what's wrong with it. Because no SES code's are coming up either if anyone has had this problem what part do I need to buy to get it back on the road again.

If it were my guess, with what little info I know about your Disco and its maintenance history, I would start with plugs, wires, air filter, clean the intake where the air cleaner goes into the plenum, run some injector cleaner through the gas. I would also consider cleaning the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor...) If you were closer to Cincinnati I would gladly help, but New York is too far to help out, sorry.

The above items may not fix it, not sure since I do not know the history and because I am not there to see it.

I really don't know that myself i just know the car was brought used from a nissan dealer back in 04. It needed a tune-up then but i don't know if it was done or not but would that cause the engine to stall out on me. And what should I do first tune-up or Fuel cleaner
