Hi all!

Well i noticed that when i drive the Discovery that when i speed up more than 44 mph my check engine light blinks a couple of times and than stays on. after driving under the speed for couple of days it goes away. But when i'm on the highway and try going faster i get the blinking check light and sometimes it feels like the car is being forced... any ideas on what it could be?? i'm honestly scared to drive on the highway thinking i might break down. help please!

Have the codes read while the light is on to find out what the issue is.. let us know what the codes are and we can advise more.

As already mentioned get the codes read and get back to us with the fault code numbers. Most part stores will read the codes for free.
Also what year is it, how many miles are on it and when was it last tuned including new plug wires?

Hiya, I took it to a place were the wouldnt give me the codes (they wanted me to have them fix it but i just dont trust them) they informed me it was the spark plugs, they also mention that the passenger catalytic converter seemed to be lose, it make a horrible rattle sound. The year of the car is 2001 and Miles are 127366. Now the car was a gift given to me and i was informed that the car was running well, It only been 2 months that i've been using it and since they told me the car was "running well" i didnt think of doing a tune up until a little later. Would i be able to do this fix on my own or would it be better to have something do it? To be honest i'm scared this will cost me a lot to fix and thats something i would like to avoid and by costing me i mean more than $1000.... so any recommendations?

Why did you not do what I suggested, you are just wasting your time by not my suggestion, with those fault code numbers you could already know exactly what is wrong and the repair necessary.
Go get the numbers and get back to us ASAP or continue to worry.
