Engine OIl.....

What are peoples preferred engine oil brands for using in their LR3? I know its 5W-30 but who's oil do people prefer running?

- Mobil 1 Truck and SUV

- Castrol GTX, Syntec, Syntec Blend?

- Other?

synthetic valvoline Is about the best oil out there hands down. Amsol and moble 1 are up there as well I am trying royal purple right now.
stay away from Quakerstate to mane additives and waxes, Penzoil is a poor oil as well in my opinion.

Does LR specify Castrol as factory fill, as does Audi? I also think Valvoline Synth is good and a good value, plus it's on the Audi approved oil list (along with many others) so it's passed certain tests.

I belive LRs is Castrol I forgot to mention them I have allways used Valvoline or castrol most my life.
Got a deal on the royal purple so I am giving that a whirl right now.
I love the Castrol guy smacking everyone with that dipstick. I laugh every time he hits someone
