I just picked up a used 2006 LR3 SE V8 from Prestige Land Rover in Paramus NJ. The truck has 16K miles on it and seemed to be in excellent condition.

As I was following my wife as she drove the LR3, I nocticed that the exhaust pipes between the guards were either very dirty or rusty.

When we got home and I inspected them closer, it in fact turned out to be rust. It really makes an otherwise terrific looking vehicle appear old and dated.

Does anyone have any suggestions on solutions?

What is the cost to replace the exhuast pipes?

Help!!

You can replace them but in just 16,000 miles they will look the same again.

They sell high temp header paint at auto stores maybe just mask it off and spray them black.

or

for about the same cost to replace the pipes look into ceramic coating, most show cars will have this done it lasts forever and looks very nice. jethot.com is a popular company that does this.
