Have a deposit down on a gray/black loaded lr4 but vacillating a bit due to reliability based on some parking lot grass roots market research i.e. spoke with 10 owners in parking lots and 6 had what I would deem problematic issues. Most common comment was they love the vehicle... When it works.
Decided to check warranty prices between the lr4 and gx460, platinum, 7/100, $0 deductible... Lexus $2200 and LR4 $5500 through Lexus. Another extended warranty company... $2500 difference (ford) and similar with a 3rd. Pricing is based on empirical data and some modeling.
