Hi all, I have a 2003 DISCO SE7 and am finally going to do the 2"lift. I did search the forum first, but did not find the answer to this question: Will I need just a new "heavy duty" springs to accomplish my lift. I saw a kit on Atlantic British for 640.00 or so and it was the springs and new shocks claiming to give your Disco a 2"lift. My concern is my buddy just purchased the heavy duty kit for his 2000 Range Rover and it looks like it sits lower than before! Now, he had the air suspension conversion done, but I would have thought this conversion to the "heavy duty" kit would have at least looked like his old air suspension in it's highest ride height. Will I need spacers as well? I'm a little scared off by my friend's experience and I want to get this right.

Many thanks.

The Range rover with air suspension will actually go up to 3 inches, but of course now he will never have any issues with air leaks.

A 2 inch lift will be a 2 inch lift, for my money I would order from Great Basin Rovers or EE Exchange due to the fact the will match the springs to make sure the are the correct hight.

where did your buddy get his lift for the Range? Atlantic British has told me that the heavy duty kit would end up about as tall as the air springs in high (about 2-3 inches). I better look further into this, was ready to get them.

Thanks for the replys. To answer the last question, my buddy got his "heavy duty" coil spring conversion kit from Atlantic British. I too told him it would at least be as high as his old air ride in high mode. Maybe it's not installed properly.......if that is possible, but he was not pleased with the height.
