Don't do the streering wheel grommet. There is an EXTREMELY easier access point via the A/C lines. It is above and to the left of the streering wheel grommet. It is just a foam preasure fit. It is embarassingly easy and easy to miss.

Don't use the streering wheel control rod grommet as you will likley catch your truck on fire at some time. Lack of mounting control + constantly moving streeing wheel rod + 4 or 8 gauge barrery cable = fire at some time.

Really, look at the air conditioner return lines in the firewall, nothing could be easier and safer.

OK, nix that then.... are the lines within the same box as the steering grommet? If so, I didn't see them. Are they as easy to find on the passenger side of the firewall as well? Thanks for your help.

Found it! Just had to look farther up the firewall behind the radios, etc. I guess the best way to get it through is to lay over the engine???? Obviously when it is cool.
