Fix damaged shark fin antenna

I managed to rip off part of the shark fin antenna housing on my 2013 LR4 in a parking garage. GPS and radio still work and I temporarily patched it with duct tape. I got a quote to replace it, but I'm loath to pull down the headliner to do the fix. Are there any alternatives that would involve sealing the hole? I don't care about the looks but want it to be weather-tight. Thanks.

DIY Antenna LR095840 Install

A while back my LR4 Antenna (LLR095840) was either stolen or incorrectly mounted, leaving behind the shroud(cover) and mounting bracket. I've searched all over for a detailed guide on how to replace but could not find anything concrete. Using the repair manual and some common sense I went at it...

Checkout this thread. It doesn't seem like too hard of a job. Only a small section of the rear headliner needs to be removed.

There's a waterproof tape called Etarnabond. It comes in black and would be a permanent seal. They use this on RV roofs to seal seams etc.
