Freelander help/advice

I have a 2002 Land Rover Freelander. I heard they are not importing it to the US anymore. I have had nothing but problems getting parts now and it's still under warranty. I just waited 6 weeks for a part. I am trying to decide whether I want to buy the extended warranty or just sell the beast. Does anyone else have a Freelander? If so, what's been your experience?
