Where do you think this is coming from? I don't see any 'fresh' oil on the differential where the gasket is, but it's definitely on the skid plate. Every picture I've attached has some kind of oil on it. But the engine and everything else is clean and dry with no oil seeping. Can it be this gasket as it has build up around it? Could it have been leaking from a bad previous oil pan plug or filter gasket? I did just get this LR3 2 weeks ago and I knew it had this leak, just hard to identify for sure where it's coming from.

I've attached 4 photos.

Just an update here.

I found a thread on another site stating that pressure could be building in the front differential because of a clogged breather tube. So I went out to see if mine had been replaced by LR019450 and it hadn't. The instructions are clear and simple, cut off the old tube about 20mm below the top and at an angle to the back of the car. I did this now even though I don't have the new filter that fits over the top of the now cut off pipe.

So I took the piece I cut off and tried to breathe through it....nothing. Blocked 100%. That has to be a big part of the problem. Apparently, my gasket may still be ok.

Just wanted to get this out there for those of you that still have the original vent tube. These were a known issue to LR and they did send out a fix.

The new breather/filter is only about $20.

Dealer just cut my old pipe that was blocked 2 weeks ago, sprayed fluid on the technician I apparently had quite the build up. Dealer said the replacement part was $195 so they jimmy rigged it instead.

Either that's complete BS or they are referring to a different part. ...why did you spray fluid on the technician?
