Hey guys, ive got a 2000 DII with around 75000 miles on her.
A few days ago i started noticing a slight vibration while accelerating which has gotten a lot worse over the past few days. It usually start at around 20MPH and goes away once you reach 40. And at higher speeds there is a low constant vibration. Anyway ive been reading around on the forums and its sounding like a bad front shaft/u joint.
My question is, can the front shaft be taken off for a few days? My local shop cant look at it before christmas which means im looking at at least 5-6 days before i can get it looked at. And i cant order any parts and get them here before next week at the earliest.

Thanks
Wes

the only way to remove the front drive shaft on a D2 is if you have modified it to have a CDL, or can climb under the vehicle and manual lock/unlock the CDL Nut to engage/disengage CDL (Center Differential Lock)
