Question on aftermarket windshield?
dealer quoted 1300.00 (heated and rain sensor) to install a OEM and
safelite glass quoted 727.00 for same installed
Safelite noted that the windshield aftermarket is PPG product,
Any concerns from others about compatabilities and or affect on the extended warranty with heated element and or rain sensor.
Thanks,
Jon

I just had my windshield replaced by safelite. They offered me the same cost, OEM or aftermarket. I chose OEM, Pilkington, but honestly, they both are tempered glass that are shatterproof. I was happy with installation too and so far, no problems. I would go OEM and ask safelite if they can get the OEM glass for the same price. They quoted me the same cost for both OEM and aftermarket and I got to choose.
