Following advice on a thread here,I called http://a-1injectors.com/fuel-pumps.html in search of a new fuel pump and he remembers that he's sold a couple direct fit pumps to Disco owners but couldn't recall the apparently Bosch part #.Could someone please help both of us?

For a '96 Model = It's good. GM part # 25116163 will work. $64.23. It's the pump inards. Comes with the pump itself, various electrical connector that you may or may not use, a couple of o-rings, hose clamps, etc... I only used the pump itself, a new connector, and 2 wires.

Thanks. It's a 97 ( with 80k almost on the nose on it if you're curious at to mileage) but I take it that it should be the same.I'll got to NAPA in the morning and see what I can manage to break further.

I'm somewhat embarassed that I had to have a friend with a Jeep tow me out of the puddle that drowned my poor Disco, then because her Warn bumper is *not rated for towing*, another with an Explorer take me on the parade of shame home.Still,it's great to have friends rather than rely on when AAA might show up.

I had to drill the screws out to get to my fuel pump and by the looks of marring on the tank, this hasn't been the first time it's been done but with the foam under the carpet soaked through, which I've never noticed before,it's not too surprising. The screwy thing that's happening with mine that I haven't seen addressed here or on other Rover forums is that I have a relay tripping repeatedly before it allows me to crank and from my understanding of where the fuel pump relay is,that is not it,yet my pump is not pumping.I just hope I don't have to chase too many more problems.

I promise to never take my Disco swimming ever again.
