I have a 97 Disco I that is leaking fuel at the fuel rail. I smelled raw gas when I walked past the disco yesterday. After checking, it was coming from a point that looks like a valve stem. I depressurized the system and used a valve stem wrench to tighten the stem. It seems to have fixed the leak , but keeping a watch. My question is, What is the valve stem looking deal for? Thanks, Wade

If it leaks again, I would suggest removing it, adding a little (please just use a little) plumbers dope, and put back together.

Thanks Mike & Joey. I started to take out and put either tape or dope on it, but found the stem was loose. the stem tightened about a quarter turn. I have been watching since yesterday and no leaks. Wade
