Dear fellow LR4 forum members,
I have been a member on this forum since 2010. I have owned 2 LR4s and was waiting for my LR dealer to contact me when they got a 2014 LR4 lux with VA package. Well, I waited two months and the phone did not ring. We decided to go test drive a GL450 last friday. My wife and I fell in love with it. We ended up trading in the LR4 on the spot. The MSRP on the GL was a little over $20,000 more than the MSRP of the 2011 LR4. the monthly payments for the GL are about $170 more per month. We loved our LR4 and it served us well. the GL is a better fit for our family and so far we are in love with it.
I just want to extend a sincere thank you to all the members of this forum. You are a fine group of people and I enjoyed being a member. I got a lot of useful information here and I enjoyed sharing what little information I had. for those of you who go off road, there is no match for the LR4.
Thank you and so long.
George

Well hold on there. You can stick around. No need to leave. How about some pics of that new beast?

Hey George!

Sad to see you go, but definitely understand. I've known you on here since 2011 and it has always been a pleasure chatting with you.

Congratulations! The GL is a great machine. If I ever go the Mercedes route again, I'm getting a G.

Best of luck!

Regards, David

The fact that it is a great fit for your family and that you already "love" it says it all. At the end of the day that is what matters. May you and your family have many enjoyable, save and trouble-free miles in the GL. (Looks like a great setup by the way.)

Nothing wrong with a GL! Let's see some pics. I'm in love with the GL63 AMG.

some more photos. there is plenty of space in the second row, and the third row seats have as much space as the LR4 second row seats. with 3 kids, that comes in handy.
