Fuel pump cheap fix!

I just rebuilt my 99 Discovery fuel pump by getting a 92 GMC Yukon pump, which is a perfect match for the original pump mechanism. It cost me $56 at Autozone and took about an hour to do the entire job. Car runs great and starts right up. Maybe I shouldn't say that out loud, eh.

What kind of cap and rotor button did you get. I have found on most makes of car that if you don't stick with the factory part, it tends to fail alot sooner. If you don't have the LR button, go get one from the dealer. It is worth the x-tra moneys. :) Like someone else said earlier. Stick with the chapion plugs. They are cheaper and work right. I haven't seen anything a Bosch plug works in ok except for LM body Range Rovers. They usually foul out in other makes of car. With you saying that you hold the pedal down to get it started sounds like it is flooded. Maybe some leaky injectors. I would replace that rotor and plugs first though. And then check fuel pressure.
