I am sure this is a common problem but is there an easy way to fix a sagging headliner? Perhaps cutting a small whole and spraying adhesive? Any thoughts?

That is my plan.... cheaper and not as big a pain as removing the entire headliner and getting it done professionally.

Don't do it- at least if you have the tan head liner!
I tried the adhesive plan this weekend on my 98 Disco I, and it didn't work. The dodo brown foam on the interior got wet from the adhesive and stains the light tan headliner- plus I couldn't get the headliner to stick very well at all. Maybe I did something wrong, and I didn't soak the headliner wet, but I had a bad time with this one.

I had the same problem... I ended up buying the material and taking the existing head liner out myself, brought it to a upholstery shop and they only charged me $100 to do the fabric work... looks brand new!!

Well I have heard of people take them out and paint the backboard or drill holes in the backboard in place and use the same buttons that hold the plastic in place in the interior. You could also use the runco buttoneer maybe
don't know but you can do anything you want. The problem with the glue is like the bmw's and other vehicles the backing foam attached to the fabric is falling apart and if you use the glue on this foam well you can figure it out from here.

I guess this is always an option- but with the number of Disco's piling up in Junk yards you can get all kinds of things for cheap....like the headliner I just pulled out of a '98. It is in perfect condition and the ol' man only charged me $25 for the thing.. although he did laugh at me for the entire hour and half it took me to get it out. Sure I might run into the same problem again, but for $25 I will do the same process again!
