Hello - Potential LR Owner Introduction

Greetings all!

Thought I'd drop in and say hello as I'm making heavy use of the 'search' function!

I'm researching my next vehicle, having a need for a serious SUV (currently driving a Mazda CX-7 AWD). As of today, my "top two" are the VW Touareg and LR3. If any of you have made this comparison in the past or can offer any insight that would be great!

I'll probably make a move later this year or early next, but like to start early! I drove an LR3 yesterday and was impressed to say the least!

Thanks Joey! I found a great thread comparing the two, based on what I've seen, the LR3 wins! Only problem could be my timing. I'm looking at fall at the earliest, more likely next spring, which puts me into LR4 territory, unless an LR3 can be found then.

I never buy new, so I guess in my case LR3 will still be the way to go... I am just now looking at 04 Disco II's if that says anything. Just bought my 03 Jaguar.... hate spending big money to buy the new car.

I'm leaving the certified pre-owned option open as well, I like the LR3 a bit better (for now!)
