cylinder heads were rebuilt, due to a Coolant leak.
The truck ran fine before the work was done.
Now it will start but will not stay running- the alarm light also flashes(which it didn't do before either).

Any help before I take a baseball bat to it. Thanks.

Oh Yeah, it's a 2003 Discovery SE. It has 55,000 Miles on it.

I think the baseball bat trick should work. My buddy just had the same thing happen, but it also left a nice crack in the engine. It was also a Discovery II.

Make sure to use genuine gasket kits and new head bolts. No reason to go cheap there.
I heard it is a good idea to do an ATF flush before starting. Good luck!

So, now that we have gotten past Freelanders, are you still having issues, if so, be specific, any codes?

I too own a Freelander but i have never faced such issues it has 106,000 on it. I hope it continues to be the same as it is now.
