A friend of mine and I did Hermit Pass in the Sangre de Christo mountains this weekend. It's actually a pretty easy trail, just very bumpy, though without any technical challenges. Any stock SUV, perhaps even without a low range, could do it.

Good stuff. I believe this is a run our local LR dealer does for one of its trips. You should start a thread reviewing Colorado trails (difficulty, types of terrain, etc) - hopefully I'll get to add some additional reviews someday!

That looks really fun. I love the pictures of the stream and can only imagine what the full experience must have been like; the sound and smell of it must have made it even cooler. As for the trail difficulty, just because the LR3 can do some amazing things off road doesn't mean that you have to every time! ;)

Thanks everyone!

I my start a trail review thread, though 99% of the time sites like traildamage.com have more info than I could ever do. It would be nice to be able to add comments to those sites though.

Any of the other CO rovers here in Solihull? I finally got my membership kit, haven't made it to an events yet.

Yep - traildamage is a great website, but there aren't any real Land Rover people on there, mainly Jeep folks. I was thinking your ratings would be more specific to the LR3

Edit: And I do have a Solihull membership, but I've really only used it for the discount at Land Rover dealers so far. I'd like to start attending their meets and drives once our little guy gets a touch older.
