I have been making progress on the install. I picked up a 4 inch grinder and have nearly completed the cutting of the plastic bumper. Tomorrow I hope to have time to cut the opening for the rope. Slow and steady.
I also clocked the winch and rotated the handle to the front. Avoided the veritable height issue but remains to be seen if the overall fix will fit properly.
