If the engine floods, it is a bear to get started. This happened a few times this winter, and again yesterday. After it finally starts, the idle seems to run really high (~2K RPM), dropping down to normal after a few seconds of idle. It does this on and off for a few days after a flooded engine restart.

Could this be "fouled" 02 sensors? Do 02 sensors foul? Is it just the ECU being confused and needing a reset by disconnecting the battery?

Yes, the O2 sensor can and will foul or go bad. Your issue sounds more like a bad injector causing the engine (ECU) to attempt to adjust the fuel to the engine.

If you said that the idles stayed the same Hight or Low, I would say the Stepper motor or the ECU needs reset by the dealer.

...but whatever happens seems to self-correct, it just drives me crazy for a few days. At least I *hope* it will self correct this time, it has in the past...
