I decided to go with the GripDaddy holder with the extension. That way the rugrats can attempt to share the iPad while in the back seat. It fits nice and sturdy to the head rest posts on both the LR4 and the LR2. It holds the iPad fairly sturdy but it has to be removed from the protection case that I have. Will see how it holds after a long normal drive. So far so good. Since I do not keep it in the truck all the time, the cables do not bother me that much. Good thing that both rovers have the input and power outlet on th eback of the center console, that way there are no cables to the front.
