Well, that didn't take me long. Holy crap is this phone cool. I forgive it for not having everything like the voice dial etc...the UI IS AMAZING!

You can get voice dialing. I saw an app for it in the app store yesterday. Check it out.

Thanks Angas, let me know if you get the voice dialing app. My assumption is that you:
A) wake phone up
B) slide slider
C) locate app and press button
D) get mad when it doesn't do a good job of recognition
All of which will probably take more time and effort than pulling up the contact.
That said, I still have my quibbles with it but it's pretty cool.
