is there no way to turn this ship around?

hello LR junkies! I have had my 03 Disco SE for 3 years now & this has always perplexed me... the turning radius on this car is horrible! Everything from a GM Yukon, to even the LR3 have a better turning radius. While my disco was in the service... (go figure) the LR Centre would give me a loaner disco.... When the 04 was released it appeared to even have a better turning radius. What's the deal? You would think a car designed for trail & off road use would want to make quick use of short spaces? Is there any quick fix?
Cheers!

Do you have standard sized tires? If so, your bumpstops may be out too far... if not and you have oversized tires, then there isn't much that can be done.

I still have the standard size 18" wheels & tires from the factory. How do I adjust the bumpstops? Is it easy?

My 03 is the same way, when I first got it I almost hit a car trying to pull into a regular parking spot. Both my Escalades turn a lot better than an 03 Disco. I heard Land Rover limited the turning radius to prevent breakage with the all wheel drive on D2's.

Sorry was out of town this weekend. Bumpstops are easy to adjust. Turn the wheel all the way one direction. Shut the vehicle off, crawl under and find the bolt that is stoping the wheel from turning any farther. turn in and test until you see that it (the tire) will rub somthing, then do the other side the same way... works best on a lift, but you can do anywhere.

Joey,
I mus be blind as a bat! I can't find the "Bumpstops" or a bolt that appears to be restricting the wheel? Can you be more specific with what I need to be looking for & where? Is it on the upper or lower control arm?

I appreciate your expertice!
